I'm a 6 foot tall quasi-Lancastrian, and learnt HTML while designing a French study page for my dad. That page was designed partly using FrontPage editor (bleurgh...), but since then I've designed sites from scratch, using only a text editor. Designing sites in this way allows me to keep a check on how cluttered the source code becomes. For techy people, this is the first website I've designed without relying on tables for the main layout.
When I'm not designing websites, I'm a computer programmer for a small software company with big clients, based in Poole, Dorset.
I also play the piano and violin to a fairly good standard (at least enough to enjoy myself!), and try to get out birdwatching regularly, which is usually pretty productive in Dorset and Hampshire.
I usually have a book or two on the go: I'm a little obsessed with Margaret Atwood and have now read all her novels at least once (time to start again I think!).
